'Tis the Season for Soup

A bowl of hot, homemade turkey noodle soup is a great way to warm up on a cold, dreary day. I'm happy to share my recipe.
I like soup anytime, especially when it's homemade and, even more especially, when the weather is dreary and cold. We've had more than our share of dark, dreary days recently (I know the sun is behind those clouds somewhere!) so, not surprisingly, this week homemade soup made it to our menu. Specifically, homemade turkey noodle soup.

I still had a bag of frozen leftover turkey pieces from Thanksgiving just waiting to be cooked up and turned into a pot of something soothing. So I pulled those out, along with some fresh celery and carrots plus a few spices, and got busy. It didn't take long before the fragrance of good home cooking permeated the whole house. Wonderful!

The result warmed us right up and put us in a nice, relaxed mood for the evening. It's amazing how a good meal with good company can chase the dreariness away. Our pot of hearty homemade soup got the job done in a hurry.

Did you notice the picture above? Doesn't the soup look good? Believe me, it was. Want to make a pot for your household? You'll find my recipe for homemade turkey noodle soup right here. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoyed ours!
